Good food at Pantai Seafood

Well, since bf likes seafood, for his birthday, I went searching high and low for a seafood restaurant which offers good food yet affordable. After interviewing many possible seafood lovers and searching through blogs, I found a place known as Pantai Seafood. Ambience is good whereby you can just sit back, relax and enjoy your crabs or prawns with bare fingers. Some of us are reluctant to eat seafood outside due to the hassle of dirtying our fingers but not in here. Practically everyone uses their fingers to tear the succulent crab, peel the prawns and many other dishes. So no worries. Just enjoy the good food that awaits.

The crowd says it all. Be sure to make reservations to avoid disappointment. =)

Look at those huge fella's below..Yum. I heard that it's pretty filling even to have half of one of those.

When we had dinner there, the blogs and reviews proved us right. Food was good and the money came out easily from my purse with no regrets. (^-^).

With the amount of food ordered, the total bill came to less than a hundred bux for twoleaving one full and satisfied. A must order is their signature dish, kepah in some kinda soup. Very tasty and goes well with rice.

The sweet and sour crab was also finger licking good. Sauce was thick and this is best eaten with fried 'man tau'. Yummy. The word 'fried' may sound horrifying to girls out there but trust me, this was not oily although bread is thought to absorb oil.

The 'man tau' is further up the crab.(",).

Next up was steam prawns. Don't think I have pics for that. I would reccommend steam so that you can absorb the sweetness and freshness of the prawns. Yum yum.

There's the single prawn sitting amongst my eaten kepah. (",).

Not to forget another significant dish. FRIED SQUIDS. Be sure to ask for the fried pepper and salt squids. It's the definitely the best in town. Slurppppp....

Well, that's about all we ordered, plus a fried kai lan. Was nice too cos' they top it up with some crispy seaweed. =)

And this was the after-effect of the dinner. We had cleaned up everything, only to leave shells and skins behind.

For those who thinks Pantai Seafood, located in Damansara, a bit too far, they have a sister branch known as Unique Fisherman. And here, be sure to try their fried squids with oats. Healthy + yummy. Crunchy to its final bit. (^0^).

Put your money where your mouth is.

This world is a world full of contradictions. People tend not practice what they preach. One minute will be this and the very next second, you see them doing what they said they would never do. What an irony. Do we call these fake or just plain hypocrite? It is because of this hypocrisy that loved ones are taken for granted because loved ones are the people who are suppose to be understanding. Loved ones have to always give in to strangers. It is always ok to hurt the feelings of the person closest to you because one always assumes he or she would understand. It is never ok to hurt a stranger or a distant person's feeling, because the moment you do it, you might lose their friendship. So how do we define this. If it isn't hypocrisy, then what is it? I would categorise all this under an idiom, "jack of all trades, master of none". Although this idiom is more suitable for the commerce field but let's look at it this way. One goes around trying to please everybody. In the end, he's unable to rise to actually be pleasure to any. Thus this causes him to even lose the one he holds dearest. So whose fault is it? The loved one for not being understanding enough (so to say) or the person going around and have always taken others for granted.

Uncivilize Drivers

Today as I was driving back on Connaught Highway, there was this one car namely Toyota Vios with plate number WM* 44** (kaka, being a kind person I wouldn't reveal the numbers), so selfishly did not give in to my way, despite me being in the right of way and having put my signal.
The car was filled with 3 chinese youngsters. Looks like they just got their liscense and here they are showing their new skills with their father's car! Since I did not get my way, so fine, I left it like that and these 3 cheekos (since when I offended them?) turned to look at me as me I was at wrong. So fine, you wanna play with me, I play along.
I cut to the right most lane and was ahead of them and these cheekos were stuck in the middle lane behind a cement lorry. (Wakakakakaka). Serves them right. You do not get anything for being uncivilize! I guess they were not satisfied that somehow I was still in the winning and the moment he overtook, he was at the back of me, TAILGATING me. (Some people just never give up, do they?) I was so not bothered cause the speed limit was 60 km/ph and i was driving more than that.
So, every now and then, I purposely slowed down my speed and at times I moved faster (learnt this trick from my mum =p) Guess finally, their patience tank marked full and they overtook me from the right, sped against me and manage to be right in front of me and the person at the back seat, turned back and gave me a stupid cheeky look. Being the more civilized driver, I did not return a nastier look, instead put my signal to move to the left lane cause afterall, I did not want to be in the right lane to make the U-turn. I wanted to head straight.
So, bottomline, doesn't that still make me the winner???? Cause before the U-turn, it was a long queue.......Wahahahahaha. So happy. Feel like telling them, "Uncivilized people not my kind"....

The Beauty of Being Blind

Was watching Oprah the other day and she aired about this boy in his teens who was born without eyes. When he was young, he went through a surgery which instilled in him synthetic eyes. To him, being blind is a gift and having eyes is not. Why so? With eyes, we are able to see people and judge them. With eyes, we are able to notice black and white, thus discriminate. With eyes, we are filled with and envy for others. So, isn't it in a way true that it is better being blind?

Who are we to judge others based on their skin colour, race and religion? Someone born dark did not ask to be born such, so why look down on a dark person? What is so great about being fair and having a dark heart? There is this saying which says, we are not that smart to call others stupid. We are not that pretty or handsome to say someone is ugly. So, the next time you want to discriminate a person through his/her looks, or skin colour, think twice because God is always great. You never know how your words will in the end hit back on you. Besides, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. No one is born ugly. Ugliness is from within. You can be superb beautiful or pretty but the very moment you discriminate and look down on others, it makes you no better and uglier still as a person.

Blooms

Look at how they bloom. Aren't they sweet??

The best thing about receiving flowers is that you get to see it bloom and at that particular moment when it had bloomed to its fullest, the beauty is indescribable. Upon receiving the bouquet of roses, the flowers look so neat and beautiful, the smell so fresh and the joy in my heart was beyond words. Such feelings will still be the same although I have received flowers before. I do not think that there will be a time where I would ever get bored receiving flowers. Funny how some is unable to appreciate flowers-God's creation which is really able to paint a smile in girls' heart when presented to them. Flowers are just so wonderful. With its different colours, they are able to express feelings. They brighten everywhere they exist and they are essential in absolutely most events simply because they add to the bliss of ceremonies and events. Besides I think flowers are the best remedy to many problems. It can serve as gift purposes, cheer someone and to expresss sombre.

Full bloom...A delightful scene...

On the other hand, why I do not like receiving flowers at the same time sometimes is because I dread the day when it starts to die. The flowers would start losing their colour and they start to shrink and dry off. It is sad to see something so beautiful in the beginning losing its beauty in just a couple of days. Your heart really aches when the state of the flowers reaches its so called "doomsday" because after this, it might just end up in the wastepaper basket or is left to become dried flowers. It is so so true that everything good has to come to an end and physical beauty definitely is unable to last forever.

Flowers are in some ways alike to human beings. They come in many colours, various shapes and sizes and each individual will have different perception on different types and species of flowers. Too many red flowers may be the nicest but to some, it may just be common and I guess that is how such perception work for people too. =)
